I think you could go either way… Idk how others conceptualize it, but when it comes to making more personal connections, having the option for connection/friend requests is a nice option that is distinct from having a “follow” option. “Follow” seems a little more distant imo, kind of like “subscribing” to an account you simply want to receive…
